The Victorian Spatial Council has been established under the Victorian Spatial Information Strategy 2004-07 (VSIS).

Its members represent the peak spatial information associations for business, government, academia and the professions, and key interest groups.

All sectors will work together through the Council to lead a coordinated whole of industry approach to spatial information policy development, management and utilisation, and provide a mechanism for cross-sectoral consultation and liaison.

Spatial Information Custodianship Program

The VSC is implementing a Custodianship Program to promote the principles of custodianship and increase the number of datasets being managed under formal custodianship arrangements.
