Overview

Land Use Victoria forms are not designed for mobile devices (eg: phones or tablets). To view, open and add data to Land Use Victoria forms, a working version of Acrobat Reader is required. You can download it here.

Many recent browser versions include their own PDF plug-ins that automatically replace the Acrobat Reader plug-in , this may result in a failure when opening Land Use Victoria forms.  Often the failure message a user receives is:

If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document. You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download. For more assistance with Adobe Reader visit http://www.adobe.com/go/acrreader."

If you receive this message and have the most up-to date version of Adobe Reader, we recommend you take the following action:

Operating in Windows: Browser Firefox / Chrome / Safari

  • Right click on the 'Download' link under the 'Paper' column and save the form onto your computer. Depending on your browser setting the save as function may be labelled ‘Save link as’.
  • Using 'Windows Explorer' or file search, locate the form saved on your computer and open using Adobe Reader. Do not attempt to open the form from the browser (it may be visible in the bottom left corner of the browser once downloaded), the same error will occur - follow step 2 and find and open the downloaded form on your computer.

Operating a Mac: Browser Firefox / Chrome / Safari

  • Right click on the 'Download' link under the 'Paper' column and save the form onto your computer. Depending on your browser setting the save as function may be labelled ‘Save link as’.
  • Using 'Finder' or file search, locate the form saved on your computer and and perform a ‘Right click’ action and from the options select ‘Open file with’ > Adobe Reader. Do not attempt to open the form from the browser (it may be visible in the bottom left corner of the browser once downloaded), the same error will occur - follow step 2 and find and open the downloaded form on your computer.
  • To ‘Right click’ on a Mac, please press and hold the 'control' button as you click the item.
