To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Australian Height Datum 1971 (AHD71), Surveyor-General Victoria’s Geodesy team held a webinar for those working with height information in Victoria.

The one-hour webinar covers the development of the AHD and its maintenance in Victoria. It includes practical tips for surveyors with a focus on survey control marks, the survey marks enquiry service (SMES), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) surveying and the application of AUSGeoid models.

The webinar also covers the Australian Vertical Working Surface (VWS) and efforts to optimise it to provide instant access to accurate height information from GNSS technology.

The recording is now available to view and share.
