What’s happening and when?

As part of Land Channel's transformation to our new MapShare platform, we are in the process of migrating and decommissioning multiple sections on this site for a better user experience. Please read the following information carefully:

• PLEASE NOTE: As of Tuesday the 10th of March 2020 the Property reports search will be turned off. Please take this opportunity to update your bookmarks and start using the new service.
  • The Property reports search has moved to the Victorian Property and Parcel Information Search at https://www2.delwp.vic.gov.au/maps/maps-and-spatial-data.
  • This new service provides quick and easy access to both property and planning information. (If you are only interested in a planning property report please visit https://www.planning.vic.gov.au/).
  • You can still obtain a detailed property report (as a PDF) for free by searching for an address, Standard Parcel Identifier (SPI) or Crown Description.
  • To help you transition to the new service please read the Frequently Asked Questions at: https://www2.delwp.vic.gov.au/maps/search-for-a-maps-and-spatial-report

• Planning Maps Online and the Bushfire Prone Area Map have both now been decommissioned. Please visit https://mapshare.vic.gov.au/vicplan/ for all Planning related enquiries. If applicable, update your bookmarks with the new URL.
• If you need assistance, please visit https://www.planning.vic.gov.au/schemes-and-amendments/get-information-about-your-planning-scheme/vicplan-help for a quick demo video and frequently asked questions.
• Interactive Map will be decommissioned on Monday 16^th September 2019. Please visit https://mapshare.vic.gov.au/MapShareVic/ for all Property and DELWP mapping related enquiries.  If applicable, update your bookmarks with the new URL.
• If you need assistance, please visit https://www2.delwp.vic.gov.au/maps/maps-and-services/interactive-maps/mapshare-help for help guides, videos and frequently asked questions.
• MyLandVic accounts credit process are no longer supported. Please use alternative payment method at the time of report purchase.
• All other links will be available as usual until further notice.

What does this mean?

Land Channel and the Interactive Maps have served us well for more than a decade, but the years have finally caught up with it. The software is out of support and there is no disaster recovery available. It is not mobile ready or able to be extended in functionality.

We have moved to a new platform that is reliable, supportable, extendable and mobile friendly. We will be able to be more responsive to your feedback with this new technology and adapt to changing needs.

We will be providing the Detailed Property report for FREE from the new Property reports search pages to be released 11^th September 2019 - https://www2.delwp.vic.gov.au/maps. Planning Property reports links will also be provided as part of these updates.

The reports will also be migrated over the coming few months to provide the same information as always, but with an updated look and in a supportable format.
